A sermon in one word

I came across this wonderful story some time ago now, and it was brought to mind again recently by the same text appearing twice in the last few days in my daily light. 1 Corinthians 15 v.58 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

It may be that we feel we struggle to do any work of, or for the Lord at all. Yet we know from this text that how ever so little the work, it will not be in vain. Like Arthur Stace, the work may be little in our own eyes, although done often, and it may be that we will not see the fruit of it. However He who knoweth all things will be sure to see and take note of it.

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
