Comfort to the weak and discouraged

1. Though many poor, weak, doubting, trembling Christians dare not say that they have grace, yet they dare say that they prize the least dram of grace above all the gold and silver of the Indies. If they had all the world to dispose of they would give it for grace. Now certainly no man can sufficiently prize grace, but he that has grace. Holy Bradford, writing to one, saith, "Thy sins are undoubtedly pardoned, &c. For God hath given thee a penitent, believing heart; that is, a heart which desireth to repent and believe."

Spring

Spring… songs 2 v.10-13… it is surely spring now. The winter has passed, the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining. I am even feeling more alive. I don’t like the winter much. The verses above were in my daily light a couple of days ago. In the cold of winter it seems that even my feelings grow cold, I become spiritually inactive more or less. I see this from my memory over the last 5 years and also from this diary from last year. Very few entries over the winter months compared to the other months. Is this common to other believers I wonder. Maybe its my job also. working permanent nightshift, I very rarely see light during the winter. Maybe there is something to believe about SAD (seasonal affective disorder)
