Providentially

Sacramental address – “But where, you will perhaps ask, is this glorious One to be found? - At His table.”

Having prayed often for a more personal knowledge of Jesus, and having backslidden these last couple of weeks, I returned unto Him today in prayer mourning my many sins and weaknesses. I found the above answer upon resuming my reading of this book from where I had left of some weeks before.
Also later in this sacramental address, page 387, “By slow steps, and after many rebukes, does a believer begin to know experimentally that his strength is not in himself but in Christ.”

“At His table” – Now I must pray that I may have His strength to return unto church and so approach His table.
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.” Hebrews chapter 10. I have had this text in my mind for many months now.
Providentially
I have today reached Mr Spurgeon`s 91st sermon taken from the 10th chapter of Hebrews.
The daily light reading for today contains my verse - Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
